A bus tyre burst near Mahipalpur’s Radisson Hotel triggered panic across southwest Delhi on Thursday morning, as the city remains tense following the Red Fort blast earlier this week.

According to Delhi Fire Services, a call was received at 9:19 a.m. reporting a “blast-like” sound near the hotel. In response, three fire tenders were rushed to the spot. However, after a thorough inspection, officials confirmed that no suspicious object or activity was found.

“During local inquiry, a security guard informed that the rear tyre of a DTC bus heading toward Dhaula Kuan had burst, which caused the loud sound,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Amit Goel.

Goel further added that the caller who reported the sound confirmed hearing a loud explosion-like noise while traveling to Gurug
