Motorists are facing severe delays on the M1 after a car veered off the road. The incident has led to the closure of the motorway southbound between junctions 37 and 36, according to National Highways. ‌

Drivers are being advised to steer clear of the area. Traffic cameras at 7am, revealed queues already starting to snake from junction 35. ‌
