Fremantle will look to become kings of the primetime stage in 2026, with the Dockers earning a swag of Friday and Thursday night fixtures in the opening two-thirds of the season.
But the Dockers will open the season in the toughest possible fashion with a clash against Geelong at the Cattery in round one on Saturday, March 14.
Fremantle CEO Simon Garlick said the Dockers had earned the right to play in prime time more often.
“It’s a reflection of the growth the team has taken in recent years and how we are seen in the industry. It’s great our members and fans get to follow us on the big stage; we’re confident our players will embrace the opportunities,” he said.
Since their 2007 flag win, the Cats have won 17 of their 18 home openers at Kardinia Park.
