Alinafe Charles, 23, who was a minibus touter, has died after he threw herself in front of a speeding car on the Limbe–Thyolo Road, at Number 1 in Thyolo District.

Thyolo Police spokesperson, Rabecca Kashoti, said the accident occurred on Wednesday, November 12, at around 10 a.m.

She said: “A Mercedes-Benz Atego vehicle, registration number ZA 10205, driven by Daniel Mwenyemasi, hit Charles as he was travelling from Thunga to Thyolo District.”

The body of the late Alinafe Charles is currently being kept at Thyolo District Hospital mortuary, while police say they are investigating the circumstances that led to the incident.

Charles hailed from Ndalama Village, Traditional Authority Nchiramwera, in the same district.
