Kolkata, Nov 13: India’s wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant expressed his happiness at making a comeback to international cricket after being sidelined for nearly four months due to a right ankle injury. Pant has been named in India’s squad for the two-match Test series against South Africa, beginning Friday at the Eden Gardens.
Pant made his return to competitive cricket last month by leading the India A team in two unofficial Tests against South Africa A in Bengaluru. Before that, he completed his rehabilitation at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru and was declared fit for national selection.
“After an injury, it’s never easy to come back. But God has been kind to me, and I’m very happy to be back,” Pant said in a video shared by the BCCI.
