More than 20 homes have been evacuated after two suspect devices were discovered, according to reports. ‌

The evacuation took place in the Glenabbey Close and Beraghvale area of Derry at around 12.30am today. ‌

A public safety operation was launched, with police establishing several cordons that remain in place on Thursday morning. ‌

"We understand the level of disruption this has caused to residents - including families and children - who have had to leave their homes during the early hours, and how unsettling this will have been.
