A youth was arrested by the South Police Station team and the surveillance unit in Firozabad for making a fake bomb threat while falsely claiming to be a member of the terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba, police said on Thursday.
According to SP City Ravi Shankar Prasad, on the night of November 10, the accused had called the police emergency number (112) and informed them that bombs would explode in the city every hour. He introduced himself as a member of Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Taking the threat seriously, police officials immediately launched an investigation and heightened surveillance across the city. However, during the inquiry, the caller switched off his mobile phone, making it difficult to trace him.
