HEBRON, Ky. —

Late Wednesday, President Donald Trump signed a government funding bill , ending a record 43-day government shutdown.

The shutdown caused financial stress for federal workers, generated long lines at food banks and stranded scores of travelers at airports across the country. Advertisement

While the government is back open, there will still be lingering effects of the shutdown felt for the days, or potentially weeks, to come. Those effects will be felt at airports nationwide, including at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

The Federal Aviation Administration was set to cut back flights at airports, including CVG, from 6% up to 8% by this morning. With the government back open, they've frozen those cuts at 6%, for now.
