Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Delhi Capitals (DC) are reportedly trying to convince Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for an all-cash deal for fast bowler Mohammed Shami. According to Cricbuzz , SRH are weighing their options, and a one-way trade to either of the teams is more likely than releasing Shami to the auction pool.
SRH snapped up Shami for ₹10 crore at the last mega auction in Jeddah, but he delivered modest returns — only six wickets at an average of 56.17 and an economy of 11.23, well below his career marks of 28.19 and 8.63, respectively. He has been suffering from fitness issues since the 2023 ODI World Cup, which have recently snowballed into a war of words between him and the BCCI selectors.
