Chicago coach Billy Donovan doesn't expect Josh Giddey to miss more than a couple of games after the in-form Australian was forced out of their clash with San Antonio with an ankle injury.
Giddey was hurt trying to defend Cleveland forward De'Andre Hunter in the third quarter of Sunday's (AEDT) 128-122 loss to the Cavaliers.
The point guard stumbled to the ground after he was crossed over by Hunter, who drove inside for the dunk and created an instant viral hit.
Spurs, behind 18 fourth-quarter points from Victor Wembanyama (38 points, 12 rebounds), surged late to beat the Bulls 121-117 in Giddey's absence as Chicago fell to 6-4.
Donovan said Giddey could return as soon as their clash with Detroit on Thursday.
