WASHINGTON — Dan Snyder's former home, a $49 million riverfront mansion, is going up for auction next month, nearly two years after he and his wife Tanya donated it to the American Cancer Society .

The former Commanders team owner bought the estate in 2000 for $8.64 and listed it in February 2023 for $49 million. It was reduced to $34.9 million after six months but was taken off the market another seven months later and gifted to the the ACS. Now the Potomac, Maryland home is listed for $24.9 million and going to auction with starting bids expected between $7.5 and $11.5 million.

The nonprofit will use the proceeds from selling the French Chateau-inspired mansion for cancer research and supporting patients in 20,000 communities nationwide.
