There are at least two schools in 'lockdown' after a man has been arrested in the street, it has been reported.
Police attended an incident in Greater Manchester following reports of a man shouting in the street, the MEN reports.
Officers were called out to Wood Street at around 12.10pm following reports of threats being made by a man shouting in the street in the Middleton area.
Greater Manchester Police said a man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.
Parents and carers have been contacted by at least two schools nearby, informing them their children were being kept indoors this afternoon according to the MEN.
