AAPSU has demanded that the prime accused in Sanggo Residential School alleged sexual abuse case must face capital punishment.
The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) on Thursday raised serious concern over the alarming rise in sexual abuse and ragging incidents taking place in schools in the East Siang district, demanding immediate, stringent action and questioning the negligence of school authorities.
Ponung Darang, President of the Women Wing, AAPSU, addressed a press conference on Thursday, highlighting two grave cases, the alleged sexual abuse of minor students at Sanggo Residential School in Mebo and the suspicious death of a student at Niglok Sainik School. Darang emphasized that the issues point to systemic failures in protecting children within educational institutions
