Assam continues to mourn the loss of state's beloved son and cultural icon Zubeen Garg, who passed away on September 19

The Assam unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will organise blood donation camps in 53 locations in the state on November 18 to mark the 53rd birth anniversary of late singer Zubeen Garg, said Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today.

CM Sarma said that Assam BJP president Dilip Saikia has urged party workers, as well as members of other NDA ally parties, to actively participate in the initiative.

“We will conduct blood donation camps at 53 locations, and the state Health Department will fully cooperate. The Assam cabinet has urged the health department to help with the technical aspects,” the Chief Minister said.
