The Colorado high school volleyball tournament returns to the Denver Coliseum this week (Nov. 13-15) with CHSAA state titles on the line.
There are storylines abound this year at state.
Valor Christian (three-time defending champ) looks to keep its dynasty going in Class 5A. Meanwhile, Merino (1A) and Sedgwick County (2A) are looking to win their fourth state championships in five years.
Northern Colorado is well represented, especially in the Fort Collins area. Fossil Ridge is the 5A No. 1 seed after consecutive Final Four runs, and Windsor is the 4A No. 2.
All five classifications have double-elimination formats until semifinals, when the brackets become single elimination. The top four seeds get first-round byes. Play begins at 8 a.m. each day and the championship matches are set fo
