A devastating loss in mid-October led to a players-only meeting and a renewed energy level for the Reno High football team.
The Huskies displayed that new effort and commitment at Carson last week in the first round of the Class 4A-North Regional playoffs, taking a convincing 42-14 win.
That win at Carson has the Huskies calling themselves "Road Warriors,” and they will bring that same energy to McQueen on Friday for the 4A-North Championship game. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
The winner of Friday’s game advances to the state championship, Tuesday, Nov. 25 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
