A 41-year-old woman, Kalaivani Balakrishnan, has died following a medical emergency at her home in Kirkby, Merseyside. Emergency services were alerted shortly before 11am on Tuesday, leading to the arrival of air ambulances at the scene. Despite the swift response from paramedics and police officers, who were called by the North West Ambulance Service, Kalaivani was pronounced dead at the location.
Kalaivani was a beloved music teacher, remembered fondly by her family and students. A tribute on a GoFundMe page described her as a "kind-hearted" individual whose voice could "melt hearts." The tribute continued, stating, "She was a light in the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Through her songs, she brought joy, healing, and peace to those around her."
Her family highlighted her nurturing nature, noting that she taught not only music but also important life lessons such as patience and humility. They expressed that her loss has created a silence that is difficult to articulate, but her spirit will live on through the music she imparted to her students.
In light of this tragedy, the family has initiated a fundraising campaign to assist with the repatriation of Kalaivani and her twins to Malaysia for burial. The funds raised will also provide financial support to her husband and family during this challenging time. So far, over £17,000 has been pledged to the campaign, reflecting the community's support and the impact Kalaivani had on those around her.
