Hannah Hidalgo dropped a career-high 44 points against Akron, and much of that came from uncontested layups. Hidalgo and Notre Dame destroyed Akron in transition, inducing a mindboggling 38 turnovers. Hidalgo, the premier thief, had 16 steals. She broke her own program record along with the NCAA single-game steals record. Notre Dame defeated Akron 85-58 for their third win of the season.
