JAMMU, NOVEMBER 13: Reserve Bank of India, Jammu, through its Financial Inclusion and Development Department (FIDD), set up a Financial Literacy Awareness Stall during the Jhiri Mela.

The Jhiri Mela, an annual cultural fair commemorating the valour of Baba Jitto, provided an apt platform to spread financial awareness among a large number of visitors. Officials from Office of Banking Ombudsman, Jammu, J&K Bank and the Centre for Financial Literacy (CFL) also participated in the initiative.

The stall served as an informative hub, disseminating knowledge on topics such as the role and functions of RBI, identification of genuine currency notes, safe digital banking practices and awareness against financial frauds.
