Police are conducting raids at homes throughout Britain in an effort to crack down on illegal streaming through the use of compromised Amazon Fire TV Sticks.
The devices allow users to play music, videos and install apps on their TVs. However, some vendors have installed unauthorized software that allows access to premium content such as live sports and movies without paying.
Britain’s Federation Against Copyright Theft (FACT) said enforcement has been ongoing this year as police have visited homes in numerous cities to confiscate the devices, and in some cases make arrests.
