A 26-year-old man out on multiple court release orders has been charged and a teenage boy barely old enough to drive is wanted for the killing of an innocent family man during a summer home invasion near Kleinburg.
York Regional Police say two other men, who are 43 and 25 years old, and two teenage boys face charges related to the robbery that saw Abdul Aleem Farooqi, 46, gunned down Aug. 31 with his family inside the home.
“I’m incredibly disappointed that dangerous criminals are continuously released back into the community only to reoffend and re-victimize the public,” Chief Jim MacSween said at a news conference Wednesday after revealing the 26-year-old accused was out on four release orders at the time of the deadly home invasion.
