JAMESTOWN — The Jamestown Police Department announced that a sex offender has registered an address in Jamestown.

Magregr Rand Obregon, 30, lives at 1530 6th Ave. SW No. 26, the Buffalo Motel, No. 26, the department said.

Obregon is 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds and has brown eyes and brown hair.

He drives a white 2016 Kia Soul, North Dakota license 867DWL.

The North Dakota Sex Offender Risk Assessment Committee has determined Obregon to be a high-risk offender.

Obregon was convicted of two counts of sexual assault-victim 15-18 in March 2025 in Griggs County District Court. Authorities said when Oregon was 28, he inappropriately touched a 16-year-old girl numerous times. He was also convicted of luring minor by computer in a separate case involving a 17-year-old girl.
