NEW YORK CITY, New York — Starbucks is marking the unofficial start of the holiday season with its annual Red Cup Day , offering customers a free reusable cup with the purchase of any handcrafted holiday beverage.

The giveaway is available at participating stores across the U.S. and Canada, while supplies last.

According to Starbucks, the limited-edition 2025 red cup is made from 95% recycled material and features a hand-drawn illustration of a Starbucks storefront, designed by Yvonne Chan.

Chan said the artwork was inspired by “the little moment of magic you feel when you step into a Starbucks from the cold outside.” Each cup holds 16 ounces, equivalent to a grande size.
