Hyderabad: With night temperatures dropping in the city, Nehru Zoological Park has initiated measures to keep its animals warm and healthy this winter season.
To ensure the animals’ body temperature remains normal, heaters have been arranged based on species in all night houses of carnivores, primates and bears. In addition, primate night houses are covered with green shade to avoid cold waves. Further, gunny cloths have been placed on the carnivores’ night houses to protect the animals from pneumonia due to cold weather.
