New Delhi (13.11.2025): Advocate Hitesh Jain has stepped down as a full-time member of the 23rd Law Commission of India. Reportedly, the President of India accepted his decision to quit effective October 29, 2025. Hitesh Jain, a prominent litigation lawyer and at , was appointed as one of the of the 23rd Law Commission on April 15, 2025. The Law Commission is an advisory body to the Government of India that undertakes research and recommends legal reforms. The 23rd Law Commission, chaired by retired Supreme Court Judge , was constituted on September 1, 2024, and has a term of three years, ending on August 31, 2027.
