Six Flags may close additional theme parks after reporting a $1.2 billion loss in its latest quarterly earnings, company executives recently announced.
According to the amusement park company, this comes as part of a restructuring plan. Earlier this month, Six Flags America in Bowie, Maryland and Hurricane Harbor Maryland water park were permanently closed following a statement from President and CEO Richard Zimmerman, stating that they were “not a strategic fit with the company’s long-term growth plan.”
The company has not identified which others might face closure or sale, but, according to a press release, executives have outlined their new strategy, and hope to center around their more successful parks.
