An Air India Express flight from Mumbai to Varanasi was forced to make an emergency landing on Wednesday (November 12) after receiving a bomb threat . The plane, carrying 176 passengers and crew, landed safely at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Varanasi. All individuals on board were evacuated without any injuries, according to The Daily Mail .
Upon landing, the aircraft was moved to an isolation bay for a comprehensive security inspection. Bomb disposal experts conducted thorough checks, but no suspicious items were found. The threat was later determined to be a hoax , as reported by The Independent .
Air India Express confirmed that all necessary security protocols were followed, and the aircraft will be cleared for operations once all mandated checks are completed
