A 45 year old man has been brought before the court, charged with the murder of a pensioner whose body was discovered in a flat in Northamptonshire.
John Mills was remanded in custody after appearing at Northampton Magistrates' Court on Thursday, accused of killing father-of-six John Boyle, aged 71.
Mr Boyle, who was a grandfather to 15, was found within his Leatherland Court, Kettering flat around 6.30pm on November 8 following concerns for his welfare.
Northamptonshire Police issued a statement saying: "John David Martin Mills, a white British man, aged 45, of Marriott Street, Northampton, has been charged with murder and theft of a motor vehicle in connection with the incident.
"Three others – a 42-year-old man, and two women aged 27 and 35 – have been released on police
