Srinagar- The probe widened further after two medical professionals from Jammu and Kashmir were detained in Uttar Pradesh—one from Hapur and another from Kanpur—after their suspected links to the module surfaced.

In Hapur, Dr Farooq Ahmad, an assistant professor in the Obstetrics Department of GS Medical College, was detained by Delhi Police late Wednesday night. According to Hapur Additional SP Vineet Bhatnagar, Farooq, originally from Jammu and Kashmir, lived on the college campus and had completed his medical studies at Al Falah University in Faridabad—an institution now under scrutiny following the exposure of the interstate module. He had been teaching at the medical college for almost a year.
