BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - The Mississippi Arts Commission (MAC) awarded $4 million to 17 organizations, including four in South Mississippi, through the Building Fund for the Arts (BFA) grant.
The grant money, which is funded through the Mississippi Legislature, will be used for repairs, renovations, expansions, or new construction.
The Walter Anderson Museum of Art in Ocean Springs was awarded $300,000. The funds will be used to support the Walter Anderson Mural Preservation Project.
Center Stage in Biloxi was awarded $82,327 to replace the roof and make repairs to the tech booth stairs.
The Arts Hancock County was awarded $25,080 to improve the functionality of the facility.
