Gabe Rotter ( The X-Files ) is back with a juicy new drama. His new Netflix series, The Beast in Me , is an eight-episode thriller that follows a successful writer named Aggie, who finds unexpected inspiration when her mysterious new neighbor, Nile, a sketchy real estate developer, moves in next door. And there may be more to his story than meets the eye.

“It really is about all of our complicity,” showrunner, executive producer, and writer Howard Gordon told Tudum . “Whether it’s Monica Lewinsky or Amanda Knox or Nile Jarvis or whatever, sometimes we are quick to make assumptions. But when we are forced to look at it from another angle, do we have the humility and the compassion to listen and to revise the narrative?”
