SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The old Hope clinic on Kings Highway in Shreveport has been demolished after being for sale for years.
The building, which is at the corner of Kings Highway and Centenary Boulevard, has been vacant since 2022 when owners were trying to raise money to move the clinic out-of-state .

Facility administrators cited “aggressive legislation” and enforcement of the state’s trigger law as reasons for wanting to leave.
This all came after Roe v Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court of the United States in June of 2022. At the time, Louisiana already had a trigger law in place that made abortion illegal in the state once Roe was overturned.
