An Adolescence star is joining the cast of a hit sci-fi series as production on series two begins.

Ashley Walters, known for his role as DI Luke Bascombe in the award-winning Netflix series Adolescence , is set to join the cast of the sci-fi series Dune: Prophecy.

The HBO and Sky Atlantic show, which acts as a prequel to the major film franchise, is returning for its second season following a successful debut last year.

Walters, also famed for his role as Dushane in the gang drama Top Boy, isn't the only new addition to the Dune: Prophecy cast.
