MONTGOMERY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The Alabama Department of Human Resources (DHR) shared shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13, that full SNAP benefits will be released for November.

DHR says that the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) said Thursday morning that the federal government has reopened and “State agencies must take immediate steps to ensure households receive their full November allotments properly.”

DHR shared that today they are transmitting the necessary files to the Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card vendor so they can begin placing allotments on cards of all SNAP users whose regular issuance date has passed and to approved November applicants.
