A highly anticipated campground, a new visitor center, new cabins and storage for cultural archives are all part of a group of Oregon state park projects that have been put on hold indefinitely.
The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department announced Thursday that four major projects that were expected to be paid for with state-allocated general obligation or “GO” bonds will be put on hold, as the agency said it continues to run low on funds .
Those projects include major construction and renovations at Silver Falls, Smith Rock and Champoeg and Kam Wah Chung state park sites.
