PHOENIX -- Pacers forward Cody Martin will miss Thursday night's game against the Suns with an illness according to the NBA's official injury report.
Martin becomes the seventh player ruled out for the game. Guards Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles tendon tear), Bennedict Mathurin (great toe sprain), Quenton Jackson (hamstring strain) and Kam Jones (lower back stress reaction) and forwards Obi Toppin (right foot stress fracture) and Johnny Furphy (left ankle sprain) had already been ruled out. Haliburton is out for the season with an Achilles tendon tear, Toppin is out until at least Feb. 1 and the other four players have each missed several games and Pacers coach Rick Carlisle has not been exact on timelines for any of their returns.
