MARSHALL, Texas - The Marshall Police Department has charged five individuals in connection with the shooting death of a Marshall man last month.

Just before 9 p.m. on Oct. 26, officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 1900 block of Bean Street. They found Carlos Dewayne Hill, 48, of Marshall dead. The killers got away before officers arrived.

Multiple law enforcement agencies have been working the case including the Marshall Police Department, the Harrison County Sheriff's Office, and the Arlington Police Department.

The following individuals have been arrested and charged:

Demetreus Demond Hooper, 45, Marshall: murder; assault/family violence (previous warrant)

Jeremy Demon Williams, 38, Marshall: murder; possession of a controlled substance; possession of marijuana
