Warm air from the south is expected to bring double-digit temperatures to Southern Manitoba on Friday.

That is according to Meteorologist Scott Kehler with Weatherlogics, who says the weekend is starting with unusually warm weather for mid-November standards.

The normal high for Steinbach this time of year is -2 degrees. Yet, the forecast high for Friday is 14. The record high temperature for November 14th in Steinbach is 17 degrees, set in 2001.

Friday's warm weather is just a continuation of what has been a warmer-than-normal week in Steinbach and area. Kehler explains that for most of the week, we were seeing a westerly flow, which brought a Pacific air mass across the Prairies.
