TYLER, Texas — The Tyler Public Library and Tyler Animal Services are teaming up to keep animals cozy with the cold weather creeping closer.
Tyler residents can swing by the Tyler Library to drop off pet food and fleece blankets for dogs and cats until Friday, Dec. 5, according to a news release from the City of Tyler.
"Established in 2015, the Pet Food Bank provides a safety net for families who may be struggling to feed their pets, helping keep animals in their homes rather than being surrendered to the shelter," the news release said.
Donations brought to the Tyler Library can be dropped off at the circulations desk. Since its inception, the Pet Food Bank has collected over 15,000 lbs. of food for struggling pet owners, the news release added.
