SPOKANE, Wash. — A Spokane man was sentenced to prison last week for delivering fentanyl that killed his friend in 2023.
Randy S. Brown, 62, will serve two and a half years in prison after pleading guilty to charges connected to his friend's fentanyl overdose death, according to the Spokane County Prosecutor's Office.
Brown received his sentence November 7 in Spokane Superior Court for second-degree manslaughter and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
Court documents show Brown delivered drugs to a friend on October 13, 2023, after the victim said he was "hurting" and needed drugs. The victim was found dead the next day.
