NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - With assistance from the Department of Homeland Security, the Nebraska State Patrol arrested two people Thursday while searching for a man wanted in connection with an attempted homicide.
According to the NSP, a man with an active Colorado arrest warrant for attempted homicide was believed to be in North Platte Thursday morning.
Troopers located the suspect’s vehicle around noon. The driver, identified as 44-year-old Robert Martell of Denver, Colorado, was traveling on residential streets in North Platte.
Troopers contacted him outside a home near West Sixth Street and North Emory Avenue and took him into custody without incident. A passenger was also detained.
Investigators said both occupants were found with suspected methamphetamine. A subsequent vehicle
