SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - A Sarasota woman who served as treasurer for Sarasota Little League was arrested Nov. 13 on a charge of grand theft of $100,000 or more after detectives alleged more than $207,000 was taken from league funds over nearly three years.
Ahnaysa Kristina Turner, 35, allegedly made more than 160 off-season ATM withdrawals totaling $159,060, 120 in-season cash ATM withdrawals totaling $95,670, and $14,527.15 in Amazon purchases using a league-issued card between November 2022 and September 2025, according to a probable cause affidavit. The listed victim is Sarasota Little League.
Detectives said they attempted to interview Turner through her attorney but did not receive a reply. The affidavit also states the league lost its 501(c)(3) status and is seeking reinstatement.
