Alberta labour leaders say they're launching an action plan to put forward an agenda they say is made with workers in mind.
The Alberta Federation of Labour told reporters on Friday about three new citizen initiatives and a provincewide campaign to put pressure on lawmakers to scrap certain policies and implement what the AFL is calling the worker agenda.
“We want to contrast our worker agenda to the UCP agenda. We want to show our fellow Albertans that there are alternatives,” said AFL president Gil McGowan.
McGowan said the AFL would soon move to bring three new citizen initiatives to Elections Alberta in the hopes of getting three referendum questions to a vote.
