A 5% pay boost is coming to Arkansas' state treasurer, secretary of state, auditor and land commissioner now that an independent body tasked with setting state politicians' salaries has issued its final approval.
The commission also gave more modest raises for other positions:
The governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general, as well as members of the General Assembly, will receive a 1% increase in their pay. Additionally, Supreme Court justices and Court of Appeals, circuit court and district court judges will receive a 3% pay bump.
The Independent Citizens Commission met Friday to confirm a vote the body took last month setting salaries for all of the state's constitutional offices, judges and members of the general assembly.
