WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - A yes or no question will be facing a select number of residents in the town of Potsdam next week regarding a multimillion-dollar project. Their answer could be costly.

Bethany Bresett has been a resident of the town of Potsdam along State Route 56 for most of her life.

A few years back, her well dried up, forcing her to dig a new one.

“Nobody here would help. They wouldn’t let the fire department come and put water in your well to see you through until you can get somebody to come in,” she said.

Now, it’s possible that $7,000 investment could be made pointless. On Tuesday, she and about 99 others in the Route 56 water district will decide whether or not to move forward on a $10.5 million infrastructure project that would run town water to their homes.
