GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The debate continues in Washington over the future of ACA subsidies following the federal government shutdown.
After the longest government shutdown in U.S. history, a spending bill was approved without a guaranteed extension, despite that being a sticking point for Senate Democrats.
Senator Tammy Baldwin held a press conference in Green Bay on Friday and was joined by constituents who rely on the ACA.
The visit comes just days after the federal government reopened, and the deal was made without extending the Affordable Care Act’s enhancement premium subsidies.
