The first system in a series of storms expected to move over the Central Coast through next week dropped more than 2 inches of rain overnight Thursday in many areas of Santa Barbara County, but caused no reported damage
Santa Maria received 1.38 inches for the 24-hour period ending at 8 a.m. Friday, with Lompoc seeing 1.91 inches, Santa Ynez 2.39 inches, Buellton 2.27 inches, and Santa Barbara 2.26 inches.
A second front is forecast to arrive Saturday, as a cutoff low-pressure system moves over the region bringing moderate to fresh (13 to 24 mph) southwesterly winds and additional rain.
Totals from this system are expected to range between 0.33 and 0.75 inches, though parts of Southern California could see significantly more.
