FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Though many think of turkey when it comes to Thanksgiving, Humane Fort Wayne is hoping you’ll keep another animal in mind for the holiday.

This Thanksgiving, the animal shelter says it wants every dog in its care to spend the holiday in a home.

To do so, it’s holding Holiday Rovernights, a short-term, holiday program where pets can ‘sleep over’ with eligible fosters.

The animal shelter says it will provide all the supplies needed for the overnight stay, all you have to do is pick up the dog from the animal shelter on November 26 and return it by November 28 at 11 a.m.
