After a record-long 43 days, the federal government is back open.
President Donald Trump signed a bill Nov. 12 to fund the government through Jan. 30.
The shutdown was resolved after a group of Democrats went against their colleagues who demanded any new spending bill include an extension of subsidies that help people buy health insurance under the Affordable Care Act.
In Wisconsin, the end of the shutdown means more certainty for households that rely on SNAP to buy food , federal workers who have gone without paychecks and travelers facing possible flight delays and cancellations .
