ATLANTA — Flight reductions are continuing after President Donald Trump signed a government funding bill ending what is now the 'longest government shutdown' after 43 days on Wednesday night.

The government is officially back open, but air traffic is still not back to normal. Federal workers, such as air traffic controllers, are heading back to work after airlines like Delta were forced to adjust their flight schedules because of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) mandate that was issued last week, cutting air traffic.

The cuts were set to increase to 8 percent on Thursday and to 10 percent on Friday if the shutdown continued.
